Piel de sapo

A ripe Piel de Sapo melon has a distinctive sweet aroma. Our Piel de Sapo grower MYM is based in northern Costa Rica.  This grower has been supplying Levarht exclusively for over 10 years.

Quality control on the Piel de Sapo melons is provided by our own production company (Rica Fruita S.A) in Costa Rica to ensure that we can guarantee the best quality.

In addition, some of our Piel de Sapo melons come from north-east Brazil. We have been working closely with Agricola Nova Era and Mata Fresca, based in Mossoró, since 2005.

Piel de Sapo melons are available under the Sweet Kiss label. Other options include a private label and bespoke packaging.

If you would like to find out what Levarht can offer you, please contact melons@levarht.com

Piel de sapo

Piel de sapo

Melons typically grow outdoors in tropical and subtropical regions.  This melon thanks its name (toad skin – which is what piel de sapo means in Spanish) to its green, blotchy skin.

Melons have been known since before the introduction of the Christian calendar.
