Granadilla

The granadilla is considered as the sweetest member of the Passiflora family. The skin is hard but fragile and the inside is white with grey pulp and black pips. When this subtropical fruit is orange and solid the fruit is ripe. You can eat the pulp directly, but it is just as the passion fruit fantastic in cocktails or salads or as glace on a cake.

Granadillas

Granadilla fruits grown on vines. After the seed has been planted, it takes about 12 months until it develops into a mature granadilla plant that is ready for harvest. The plant will produce fruits all year round for three years. The time between blossoming to a ripe fruit is 12 weeks.

Granadillas originate from South America.
