The tamarillo, also known as the tree tomato, can be eaten raw and cooked. The skin is very bitter so this is often removed. Due to its bright colour it is also often used as decoration.
We offer a variety of bespoke packaging options.

The tamarillo fruit grows on a small tree and is also known as the tree tomato. Tamarillos are natives of Latin America but the name tree tomato was invented in New Zealand. There are red-fruited and yellow-fruited varieties. The tamarillo resembles an egg-shaped berry of 4-7 centimetres in size. They have a thin skin.
